In two games last week, RPI junior forward Patrick Mahoney averaged a team-high 26.5 points per game on 61.1 percent shooting (22 of 36), along with 7.0 rebounds. He also had three assists, two steals and a block in a team-high 33.6 minutes per game. In a 61-49 win over Vassar on Saturday, he had a game-high 27 points (11 of 18) with 19 coming in the second half when he alone outscored Vassar's entire team (19-16). Mahoney also had three rebounds and two steals in 33 minutes. Less than 24 hours later against Ithaca, he had a game-high 26 points (11 of 18) with a team-best 11 rebounds, three assists and a block in a 62-60 loss. Fifteen of his points and eight of his rebounds came in the second half when RPI outscored Ithaca 34-18 to erase a 20-point deficit.
