University of Rochester Matthew Toth went 3-0 at the #2 position for the 7th-ranked Yellowjackets this week. He helped Rochester post wins over #13 Western Ontario (7-2) and #6 Yale (7-2). Toth was the lone winner on Tuesday against #2 Trinity (8-1 loss), winning in five sets over former All-American Michael Craig (10-12, 11-9, 4-11, 11-7, 11-4). On Friday versus UWO’s David Mill, Toth again needed five sets to be victorious, winning 3-11, 11-5, 8-11, 11-7 and 11-3. In his final match of the weekend against Yale’s Siow Yee Xian on Sunday, Toth needed five games for the third time in as many matches, edging out a 12-10 win in the fifth to post the win.
