Hobart College first-year Rayshawn Boswell was named the MVP of the New York Bowl after producing a game-high 231 all purpose yards in a 30-10 win at Cortland. The national leader in kickoff return average gave his average a boost with 45.5-yard average on two returns. He also caught a pair of passes for a game-high 95 yards and gained 21 yards rushing. With three plays that gained 40 or more yards, Boswell's biggest play of the game was a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Red Dragons had just pulled to within 16-10 with five minutes to go in the third quarter, when Boswell broke free for his second kickoff return for a touchdown in as many games. He's the first Statesman with two kickoff returns for touchdowns in a season since 1996.
