First-year swimmer Sam Russell helped the RIT women's swimming and diving team to a win, the 11th straight in dual meets, in the season-opener against RPI Saturday. Russell won two individual events, and helped the 200-yard medley relay team to a first-place finish (1:51.48). She won her first collegiate race, the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.47) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.47).
