University of Rochester first-year Brendan Frain finished in a tie for third place among 45 golfers at the Saratoga National Invitational over the weekend. The rookie carded back-to-back rounds under par, shooting 1-under 71 and 2-under 70 to finish at 141 for the event. Frain was the tournament leader in par-5 scoring, shooting 6-under on the par-5 holes throughout the weekend. He also carded seven total birdies and an eagle during the event. Rochester as a team finished 6th of 9 with a 2-day score of 598 (296-302).
