William Smith College first-year forward Mackenzie Wodka was a crucial part of the Heron offense, scoring twice in a 3-2 overtime win over St. Lawrence on Saturday. Wodka scored the game-winning goal in overtime, when she received a pass across the field from junior Sophie Craig. Wodka worked around the Saints' Delaney Yates, and placed her shot past Sydney Giacin to give William Smith a win. Wodka also drew a penalty stroke, and senior Kelsey Pierce took it successfully to put the Herons up 1-0 in the second quarter. Wodka gave the Herons a 2-1 lead when she placed herself towards the right post during a penalty corner, and received a pass from first-year Kate Barilla at the top of the arc.
