Skidmore College junior JT Wynne was sdelected as the Most Outstanding Performer at the 2019 Liberty League Men's Tennis Championship. Wynne, who had a hand in three of the Thoroughbreds' 10 team points, recorded the championship clinching singles victory against RPI on Sunday. Wynne defeated Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez, 6-2, 6-4, as he overcame an early 2-0 deficit in the second set. He also combined with first-year player Noah Williamson for a pair of victories at first doubles. In the semifinals against Ithaca, Wynne and Williamson combined for an 8-6 victory, which was part of a Skidmore doubles sweep. In the championship match against RPI, Williamson and Wynne earned a hard-fought 8-7 victory over Castillo-Sanchez and Andrew Imrie to give the Thoroughbreds an insurmountable 3-0 lead heading into singles play. The duo trailed 4-1 in the tiebreaker before winning six of the next seven points to win the match.
