The University of Rochester Novice Eight was first of three teams at the Hamilton Canal Series on Saturday. The boat consisting of Eleanor Mancusi-Ungaro, Shellie Downie, Annalie O'Brien, Anna White, Julia Weinstock, Elizabeth Yarnall, Rachel Anthony, Shirley Zhang and Kira Hellard finished in a time of 7:42.86 along the 2000 meter course. Rochester’s time was the second fastest among all boats, including Varsity Eight competition on the day. Host Hamilton was second over 15 seconds behind in the race and St. Lawrence finished third among Novice Eight entries, 20 seconds back.
