William Smith College sophomore goalie Olivia Hofmann was 2-0 in goal for the Herons this past week, recording a 3.00 goals against average and a .793 save percentage. She made 23 saves in wins over Hamilton and Rochester. On Wednesday, Hofmann made a career-high 17 saves in a 7-6 non-conference win over Hamilton. She also brought in three ground balls against the Continentals. Against the Yellowjackets, Hofmann made six saves as she recorded her first career shutout. She is the first Heron to record a shutout in a game since April 13, 1991 when Courtney Hutchinson and William Smith defeated Union 20-0. Hofmann leads the Liberty League with a 5.66 GAA and a .568 save percentage.
