St. Lawrence University first-year pitcher Gabby Slater posted two complete game victories for the Saints last week. Slater threw her first collegiate shutout on Tuesday, allowing just two hits and striking out four in a five-inning run-rule shortened game in a 9-0 victory over Morrisville State, then won a thriller against Rochester on Thursday, allowing one run on seven hits in a 2-1 victory for the Saints' first league win of the year. She posted a 1.37 ERA with seven strikeouts and just two walks in 15.1 innings pitched on the week. She also performed well at the plate, hitting .438 with two doubles to help the Saints go 5-1 on the week.
