William Smith first-year player Maggie Bonomo won her match in the No. 2 spot when the Herons hosted Rensselaer Friday evening. Bonomo defeated Junjia Lyu 6-1, 6-2, helping William Smith beat the Engineers 5-4. Bonomo is 11-4 at the No. 2 spot this season.
