At the Goucher Track & Field Classic in Baltimore, RPI sophomore Neil Casimir won the 400-meter dash and was part of the runner-up 4x400 relay team. He finished the 400 in 50.15 to win the 25-competitor event, which saw the runner-up cross more than a second behind him (51.23). In the relay, Casimir ran the anchor leg for a team that finished in 3:31.62, which trailed only the winning team's time of 3:26.79. There were 10 teams in the 4x400. Overall, Rensselaer finished first among the 14 competing teams with 223 points, while the runner-up (Bridgewater of Virginia) had 114.
