In a 5-4 win at California Lutheran, he won at No. 6 6-2, 6-0. He then played No. 5 against Cerritos College and won 6-2, 6-0 as the Engineers won 5-4. He finished the week with a 6-3, 6-4 loss at No. 5 in an 8-1 loss at sixth-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
