Thornton started off his collegiate career with a 2-0 record, 6.00 goals-against average and .657 save percentage (23 saves). Thornton got the nod in Ithaca's season opener at Lycoming on Wednesday. He finished that game with six saves, three ground balls and one caused turnover. Against SUNY Geneseo, Thornton finished the day with 17 saves and five ground balls in an 11-9 comback win for the Bombers.
