Vassar College first-year Claire Coss went undefeated over the weekend in the CSA Team Nationals Chaffee Cup. She went 2-0 on Saturday against Bard and Colgate. In the quarterfinals, she won 11-2, 11-9 and 11-6 and then went five sets with Colgate. After dropping the first two sets 11-7 and 11-9, Coss fought hard for three-straight wins at 11-5, 11-6 and 11-5. Against Bowdoin in the finals, Coss tallied the close 3-2 win at the second position. Coss dropped the first set 11-7 to Ntasha Belsky, but won the second 12-10. After falling 11-8 in the third, she won the final sets 11-5 and 11-9.
