University of Rochester first-year Thijs Van Der Pluijm went a perfect 4-0 for the Yellowjackets at the #5 position, earning three 3-0 sweeps over Hobart, Bard and Vassar, while posting a 3-2 victory over St. Lawrence. Van Der Pluijm rallied from 2-0 down in games against George Willis on Saturday winning 6-11, 7-11, 11-6, 11-9 and 11-7 to earn UR’s clinching point in the key win over SLU. He then won 11-5, 11-5 and 11-5 to clinch the match against Bard and won impressively against Vassar, surrendering only six points total in the 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 win on Sunday.
