University of Rochester junior Michaela Burrell recorded a new personal best and school record in the 60 meter dash on Saturday at the Brockport Multi & Invitational. In the preliminaries, Burrell matched her PR with a run of 7.82 seconds, qualifying first among 33 runners for the finals. In the final, she lowered her time to 7.79 seconds, breaking the previous Rochester record by .01 seconds. Burrell’s time currently is ranked eighth in Division III and first in the Liberty League and All-Atlantic Region. Rochester ended up in second place in the team standings (of 12 teams) with 111 points.
