Junior Marquis Moore broke a 37-year old school record in the triple jump, as the RIT men's track and field team finished third out of 11 teams at the 2012 NYSCTC Championships, hosted by Hamilton College. Moore, who won the event, recorded a jump of 14.44 meters, breaking the record of 14.39 meters set by Fred Clark in 1975. It is the 11th longest triple jump in all of Division III this season. That was also the longest standing RIT indoor track and field record. Moore was named the Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet.
