Hobart College sophomore quarterback Ryan Hofmann threw for 326 yards, two shy of his career-high and tied for 14th on Hobart's single game list. For the second time this season, he led the Statesmen on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. Looking for its first lead since 3-0 in the first quarter, Hofmann was 2-for-2 for 76 yards on the go-ahead drive, including a 16-yard TD pass with 8:28 remaining. Hobart held on for a 29-28 win. He completed 17-of-29 passes on the daym, tossing three touchdowns. Hofmann leads the Liberty League in passing touchdowns and passing efficiency and is second in passing yards and completion percentage. Prior to the game, Union led the league in scoring defense (8.3 ppg, 8th in the nation) and total defense (212.5, 10th), and hadn't allowed more than 10 points in a game.
