Skidmore College sophomore Risa Fukushige captured the ITA Northeast Championship with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 victory over Coco Kulle of NYU in the final. The top seed in the singles draw, Fukushige also earned victories over Dina Rigas of William Smith (6-1, 6-2), Paige Webster of Union (6-4, 6-0), Sarra Yekta of Vassar (6-0, 6-2), Sophia Aulicino of Hamilton (6-3, 6-2) and teammate Dea Koaiva in the semifinals (6-3, 4-6, 6-4). Fukushige also teamed with Koiava to advance to the semifinals of the doubles championship before falling to defending champions Coco Kulle and Flyora Shiyanova of New York University, 8-6.
