Skidmore College first-year player Dea Koiava advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Northeast Championship before falling to teammate Risa Fukushige, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Koiava earned victories over Christina Ryan of St. Lawrence (6-1, 6-0), Leland Barclay of William Smith (6-0, 6-0), Katrine Luddy of TCNJ (6-0, 6-2) and Frances Cornwall of Vassar (6-3, 6-1) en route to the semifinals. She also teamed with Fukushige to advance to the semifinals of the doubles championship before falling to defending champions Coco Kulle and lyora Shiyanova of New York University.
