Hobart College junior quarterback Ryan Hofmann broke the Hobart game record for quarterback rating and tied the Hobart game record for touchdown passes, leading the Statesmen to a 62-24 win over Morrisville State on Saturday. He completed 70 percent of his passes (14-of-20) for a career-high 239 yards and six TDs against a Mustang defense that limited Norwich to just 138 yards passing a week earlier. Hofmann tossed four TDs in the first quarter alone, leading Hobart to a 28-0 lead after 15 minutes. He finished the day (early in the third quarter) with a 269.4 passer rating, surpassing the three-year-old record of 269.1 set by All-American Shane Sweeney.
