Ithaca College junior goalie Savanna Lenker went 1-1 in her opening weekend of play, scoring a victory over Drew and taking a hard-luck loss in a 2-1 defeat at 10th-ranked Montclair State. The junior goalie tallied three saves, all in the second half, to notch her first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Drew in the opening half. Lenker was quite strong in Saturday's contest against the nationally-ranked Red Hawks. She withstood waves of Montclair attacks throughout the day, finishing with seven saves in the defeat. She carries a 1.00 goals-against average and .833 save percentage through the opening week.
