In the Liberty League Men's Tennis Championship, the RPI first doubles team of sophomore Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez and freshman Andrew Imrie went 2-0 to help the Engineers to their first tournament title and the program's first-ever NCAA championship bid. Playing No. 1, they beat a duo from Hobart, 8-3, in the semifinals before taking down a regionally-ranked tandem from Skidmore, 8-5, in the final. The victory against Skidmore gave RPI a 3-0 leading heading into singles play. Rensselaer defeated the Statesmen, 5-1, and the Thoroughbreds, 5-2.
