William Smith College first-year Mekayla Montgomery led the Herons with nine ground balls, 14 draws and six caused turnovers in two Liberty League tournament victories. She earned a spot on the all-tournament team for her efforts. In a 14-7 win over RPI, Mongtomgery logged game-highs of five ground balls, six caused turnovers and seven draws. In the 15-10 championship victory over Ithaca, she had four ground balls and a game-high seven draws. The seven draws match a season-high for Mongtomgery and tie for third on the Heron single game list. She leads William Smith with 61 draws and 28 caused turnovers. Her 61 draws are tied for second on the William Smith single season list. Mongtomery also ranks second with 39 ground balls.
