Ithaca College junior defender Reid Simoncini was in her best form of the season this past week in helping the Bombers to a pair of wins over Rochester and Union to remain perfect in Liberty League action. The junior registered three caused turnovers, six ground balls, and a team-best 16 draw controls to help Ithaca improve to 6-3 on the year. Simoncini began the week with a dynamic effort in IC's 19-9 triumph over Rochester. She corralled three ground-balls and six draw controls, while she also registered her first career goal, which leveled the score at 6-6 heading into halftime. She would help lock down the Yellowjackets after the break, while Ithaca outscored the home side 13-3 in the second session to pull away for the win. Simoncini continued her strong play over the weekend in a win against Union. She amassed three caused turnovers and three ground-balls, while she was extremely influential in Ithaca's draw and clear efforts. She racked up a career-best 10 draw controls to help Ithaca build significant lead after halftime in the victory. With the strong week, Simoncini now has nine caused turnovers and 15 ground balls in seven games played this year. Jumping into IC's draw control plans for only the past three games, she has already racked up 20, averaging 6.67 per game.
