William Smith College first-year Mekayla Montgomery led the Herons with eight ground balls, 14 draws and seven caused turnovers in a 2-1 week. Montomgery shared a team-high with five draws and added a ground ball and a caused turnover in a loss to No. 3 Salisbury on Monday. In a 7-2 win over RPI on Friday, she notched two ground balls, a caused turnover and three draw controls. In a 10-4 victory over Union on Saturday, Montgomery logged a game-high five ground balls, five caused turnovers and six draw controls. Her five caused turnovers against the Dutchwomen is tied for third most on the Heron single game list. Montgomery leads William Smith with 13 caused turnovers this season. She ranks second with 17 draws and is tied for second on the team with 14 ground balls.
