Vassar College senior Michael Scarlett ran the 5,000 meter run at the 2018 Willie Williams Classic at the University of Arizona and finished third overall, defeating runners from Arizona, New Mexico State, University of Iowa and other Division I, II and III schools with a time of 15:10.20. The time was Vassar's fastest ever in the event during their annual trip to Arizona in the 5,000 meters. It was just seconds off his personal best of 15:07.65.
