RIT junior guard Cori Okada led the Tigers to their first appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. She averaged 24.5 points, shooting 57.1 percent from the floor in two games. Saturday, Okada became the 10th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, tallying 25 points in a 79-76 come-from-behind win over The College of New Jersey in the second round. She scored 13 of her 25 points in the fourth quarter, reaching the 1,000-point milestone on a three-pointer with 36 seconds to play in the fourth quarter that gave RIT the lead for good. Friday, Okada scored 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting in a 76-63 win over The University of New England in the first round. She added four assists and two steals.
