William Smith College first-year Juliana Gamboa was second on the team in scoring, rebounding and assists last week as the Herons posted a 2-1 record. In Tuesday's win over RPI, she made a strong bid for a triple-double, finishing with 11 points, a game-high nine rebounds and a game-high six assists. In Saturday's epic comeback against Clarkson, Gamboa produced a season-high 19 points and three assists, helping the Herons stage their largest comeback since 2009. William Smith trailed for most of regulation against the Golden Knights, including a 41-22 deficit late in the first half, but took their first lead of the game on Gamboa's 3-pointer with 18 seconds remaining. In overtime, she was 4-of-6 at the free throw line as the Herons outscored Clarkson 17-6.
