Hobart College junior guard Colin Dougherty helped the Statesmen extend its winning streak to seven games with a pair of victories in the North Country. On Friday night at Clarkson, he produced 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in a 91-78 win over the Golden Knights. Dougherty scored on three straight possessions early in the first half, sinking back-to-back 3-pointers and closing with a layup that raised his career scoring total to 1,000 points. He's just the 28th Statesman in 108 seasons of basketball to reach that milestone. Dougherty's personal 8-0 run kicked off a 16-0 run by Hobart that turned a six-point CU lead into a 10-point advantage for the Statesmen. The following afternoon at St. Lawrence, he guided Hobart to another 91-78 win with a game-high 25 points, four rebounds and four assists. For the weekend, Dougherty shot 61.5 percent from the floor (16-26), 50 percent from 3-point range (5-10) and 77.8 percent at the free throw line (7-9).
