Vassar College senior Jonah Strand had a banner day at the RIT Don Richards Invitational for the Brewers. He led an eight-person team to a team third-place finish. Overall, Strand chalked up three individual victories and a relay victory. Strand started the weekend with a season-best time in the 200 IM, swimming a 1:58.90 to roll to a three second victory. He followed that up by helping VC to a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay, followed by a blistering 26.24 split in the 200 medley relay win. Strand captured gold in the 100 breaststroke with a season-best 58.23, and followed that with a 200 breast title, posting a season-best time of 2:08.34.
