In a 191.5-106.5 win over Ithaca, RPI first-year swimmer Mark Mulder won three of the four events in which he competed and was second in the other. He helped the 200 medley relay team to victory, swimming the second leg on a team that beat five others with a time of 1:37.41. He then tied for first in the 7-competitor 100 breaststroke in a time of 59.83 before placing second in the 200 breaststroke (2:10.99), ahead of five others. Mulder finished his afternoon by winning the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:00.12. The runner-up in the field of eight touched in 2:02.08.
