Hobart College freshman kicker Kyle Hackett tied two Hobart game records in the Statesmen's 30-0 win over Rensselaer on Saturday. He accounted for all of the first half scoring, booting field goals of 21 yards and 30 yards. In the second half, he added a 39-yard field goal and converted all three of his PATs. Hackett is just the second Statesman to make three field goals in a game, matching Eric Ampuja's three field goals against RPI back in 2001. Hackett also tied Hobart's game record for points by a kicker with 12. He's the third Hobart kicker to score 12 points in a game. Hackett leads the Liberty League in field goals made (6), field goal percentage (1.000), PATs made (24) and scoring average by a kicker (7.0).
