Vassar College first-year player Frances Cornwall had a strong showing at the ITA Northeast Regionals this weekend as she advanced to the quarterfinal round before falling to eventual finalist Coco Kulle of NYU in three sets. Cornwall knocked off Alex Wolkoff of Rochester 6-2, 6-0 in the opening round, followed by another 6-2, 6-0 win over Audrey Chor of Hamilton. In the third round, she defeated Erica Meno of Skidmore 6-0, 6-1, before falling to Kulle in a grueling three-setter. Cornwall also advanced to the quarterfinal round in doubles as well, earning a pair of 8-2 wins in the first and second round before falling 8-2 in the round of eight.
