William Smith College junior Megan Richard scored the game-winning goal as the Herons shut out No. 2 Messiah 1-0 in a non-league game on Saturday. Richard put William Smith on top in the 49th minute. It was her first goal this season. The Herons have won three straight and have earned three straight shutouts.
