In her first collegiate meet, RPI freshman Elise Symon was fourth overall (third attached) in the Kinectic Running Cardinal Classic hosted by Plattsburgh State. She ran the 5k course in 19:31.5, a pace of 6:18 per mile. There were 56 competitors in the field with the winner crossing in 18:21.3. Rensselaer was second in the four-team meet with 34 points, just one behind first place Plattsburgh.
