Vassar College junior Devan Gallagher had one of her best weekends as a Brewer at the 2017 Red Dragon Classic, as the team went 2-2 with wins over Lebanon Valley and Coast Guard Academy. For the weekend, Gallagher averaged 6.00 kills per set, while chalking up 84 total kills and hitting .303. She also posted six service aces (0.43/set), and tallied her first three double-doubles of her career, as she averaged 3.36 digs a set. In the season opener, Gallagher chalked up 26 kills and 12 digs, followed by 15 kills and six digs against No. 13 Juniata. Saturday, she followed that up with 24 finishes and a .385 hitting clip against Coast Guard, totaling 12 digs as well. In the weekend finale against Rochester, she registered 19 kills and a career-best 17 digs.
