Vassar College freshman first baseman Evan Trausch has continued to swing the bat well for Vassar, as the tall righty hit .500 (6-12) this week in four starts, posting three doubles, three runs scored and was perfect in his 29 chances at first base. Trausch currently has the team's longest hit streak of the season at 12 games, posting at least one hit in 20 of his last 21 games. Trausch started the week with two hits and two runs in a win over Manhattanville, and was 1-for-3 with a double in a 7-0 win against St. Lawrence in a suspended game finished Sunday. He then was 2-for-2 with two doubles in Vassar's 7-5 loss, while going 1-for-3 in a 7-0 win over St. Lawrence. In conference play this year, no player had a higher batting average than Trausch, posting a .433 average
