Rochester freshman Lydia Petricca hit .407 over eight games (two apiece vs. St. John Fisher and Nazareth), .500 (8-16) in LL games vs. RIT and St. Lawrence. She hit safely in seven of the eight games and homered in two of the eight (vs. Fisher, vs. SLU). She drove in nine runs, seven in the LL weekend as Rochester fought for a playoff spot. She was 1/4 vs. RIT in each game of the DH (which UR split) and completed an unassisted DP in the top of the seventh when RIT had the bases loaded and one out in a 2-2 game. (UR won in the eighth). Against SLU, she was 3/4 in each game, drove in five runs (2 in a 6-0 win in game one, 3 in a 10-6 win in game two) and hit two doubles.
