St. Lawrence University freshman pitcher Madison Mitchell went 3-0 in four starts and five appearances with a 1.60 ERA with 30.2 innings pitched last week. She had three complete game victories against league opponents and pitched six shutout innings of relief in the one league game that she did not start, posting a 0.78 ERA in four games against Skidmore and Clarkson. In 27 innings of Liberty League play, Mitchell allowed just 16 hits and walked 16 while striking out 18 batters. She held Skidmore and Clarkson batters to a .165 batting average, as the Saints solidified their hold on fourth place in the conference standings.
