The Hobart College second varsity eight of Greg Narzikul, Sam Ash, Anthony Giovenelli, Ben Robinson, Harrison Luce, Alberto Wray, D. Griffin Marsh, Henry Vachon, and Miles Cornman went 2-1 in head-to-head racing at the Stanford Invitational this weekend. On Saturday, Hobart's 2V8 defeated the University of San Diego, and Stanford. In the morning race, Narzikul, Ash, Giovenelli, Robinson, Luce, Wray, Marsh, Vachon, and Cornman cruised to a 23-second victory over the Toreros. Against Stanford, the 2V posted its best time of the weekend, stopping the clock at 5:52.2, beating the Cardinal 2V by 13 seconds. The Statesmen's lone loss came against the University of California on Friday afternoon.
