On Friday night at Bucknell, RIT first-year runner Otto Kingstedt smashed a school record in the 10,000-meter run, finishing fourth overall and second among all college runners (Division I, II, and III) in a time of 29:38.43. The time broke the school mark by 14 seconds (29:52.42), previously held by RIT Athletics Hall of Famer Tony Fraij, set in 1996. Kingstedt's time is also the second fastest in Division III this season and one of the 25 fastest all-time in Division III history. Kingstedt ran his first 5,000-meters in 14:57 and his last 5,000 in 14:41.4. He saved his best 1,000-meter split for last, running it in 2:48.4.
