RIT senior first baseman Phil Sammon hit .400 (6-for-15) with two homers and 10 RBIs, slugging .933 for the Tigers in a 4-1 week. On Thursday, Sammon hit an opposite field grand slam in the top of the ninth inning off of St. John Fisher's All-American closer Loukas Brigham as RIT scored five times in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat the No. 24 Cardinals, 9-6. On Saturday, Sammon was 2-for-3 in game one, as RIT rolled to a 14-2 win over Rensselaer. In game two, he doubled, homered, and drove in five runs for the second time in four days, as RIT rallied from 11-4 down to defeat the Engineers, 12-11. Sammon now has 11 career home runs and 80 RBIs in 112 games at RIT.
