University of Rocheste first-year Eric Sonheim was selected as the Rookie of the Meet. He is the sixth consecutive Rochester swimmer to win Rookie of the Year honors in the league. Sonheim earned his award by winning the 100-yard and 200-yard freestyles. He swam the 100 in 47.47 and the 200 in 1:43.80. He was third in the 50 free (21.86) and third in the 100 fly (52.94).
