Hobart College junior Zach Withers caught a career-high eight passes for a career-high 89 yards and a career-high two touchdowns against No. 7 Mount Union. The Purple Raiders entered the game third in the nation in scoring defense (9.7 ppg) and fourth in third down conversion defense (23.6%). Withers alone exceeded Mount Union's average points allowed, scoring on pass plays that covered 22 and 37 yards, the latter tied the game at 21 late in the third quarter. He also helped the Statesmen with a pair of third down conversion receptions, helping the Statesmen finish the day 8-of-20 (40%) on third down.
