University of Rochester senior Ryosei Kobayashi captured the 2016 Price-Bullington Invitational tite, a 16-player tournament featuring some of the nation's top collegiate squash players. Kobayashi was the top seed and won his opening-round match over Quinn Bundy, a PBI qualifier in three games. In the quarterfinal, he defeated Ahmed Hatata (No. 14 national rankoing) of Bates in three games. The semifinals saw him win over St. Lawrence's Ahmed Bayoumy (No. 9) in four before beating Trinity's Rick Penders (No. 3) in four games to win the title. Kobayashi is the first Rochester player to ever win the Price-Bullington Invitational.
