RPI senior Ben Fazio broke away from the pack late in the race to win the 2016 Liberty League Championship on the 8,000-meter course in 25:22.5 at Seneca Lake State Park. He won the race by four seconds while sophomore teammate Grant O'Connor (25:26.5) came in second. The Engineers captured its first league title since 2005, when they shared the honors with St. Lawrence.
