Vassar College freshman forward Mattie Mrlik picked up four points on two goals in Vassar's 3-0 shutout over No. 12 Rochester on Saturday. Mrlik padded the Brewer lead (2-0) in the 68th minute. Following touch passes between Alex Gonzales and Reid Smith, Smith slotted a pass to Mrlik, who beat the keeper one-on-one before finding the back of the net. Mrlik continued to play aggressively on offense, gathering a steal on the opposite side before breaking away down the middle before scoring his team-leading seventh goal of the season. Mrlik paces the Brewers with 21 points, placing him first among league leaders.
