Facing the stiffest competition in the country, RPI senior Ben Fazio led the Engineers to third of 40 schools, 10 of which are nationally-ranked, at the Inter-Regional Border Battle hosted by Rowan. He finished the 8K course in well under 24 minutes, placing fourth overall with a time of 23:35.1, a per mile pace of 4:45. He was within about 20 seconds of the winner and just a second out of third place (23:34.1)
